On October 25th, Society President John DiGravio '21 attended the Intercollegiate Studies Institute's annual Forum on Freedom and Dinner for Western Civilization in Washington D.C. Throughout the afternoon and evening, John had an incredible opportunity to meet ISI students and supporters, with whom he shared the progress of efforts to enhance intellectual diversity and liberal education at Williams College. Guest speakers included an impressive and credentialed lineup of scholars, journalists, and political commentators who spoke on panels concerning diversity, media, and campus free speech. Larry P. Arnn, President of Hillsdale College, received the 2018 Charles H. Hoeflich Lifetime Achievement Award, and John's honors scholarship mentor, James R. Stoner Jr., received the distinguished faculty award. Park Yeon-mi, a North Korean defector, human rights activist, and champion of freedom, delivered the evening keynote address.

The Society is deeply grateful to ISI for its continued to support of academic freedom and liberal education on college campuses.
